Trainer
Helen joined EDGE in September, 2008. An Occupational Therapist by training, Helen came directly from The University of York St John to join our busy Manual Handling team.
Hailing from West Yorkshire, Helen is a keen traveller to Europe and Asia. As part of her BHSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy course she worked for four months at the International Placement Centre for Rehabilitation of the Paralysed in Bangladesh. We are hopeful, therefore, that she will be able to take the travelling aspect of her job in her stride. She has identified the Travelodge ‘Breakfast in a Bag’ as her least favourite aspect of the job.
Helen’s hobbies include researching her family history, making jewellery and fire-eating! For health and safety reasons she will not be demonstrating fire-eating whilst training.
Helen is currently on maternity leave after the birth of her first child - a bouncing baby boy!
